Agrosuper: A Benchmark in the food industry
Founded in 1955, Agrosuper is one of the leading food companies in Chile, specializing in the production and commercialization of chicken, turkey, pork, and processed food products. Its production process is fully integrated, from the manufacturing of animal feed to final distribution, allowing it to offer high-quality products both in Chile and international markets.
An innovative project
In the city of La Estrella, Chile, Agrosuper inaugurated an animal feed production plant with a capacity of 38,000 tons per month. Designed as a model of efficiency and automation within the "Animal Feed" segment, the plant presented a key challenge: automating the dosing of nano, micro, and medium ingredients, as well as medicated raw materials, with maximum precision and efficiency.
The Jesma solution: Precision and innovation in every gram
Together with our partner Jesma, we developed five specialized dosing systems for Agrosuper, optimized according to the size of the ingredients:
- Nano ingredients: Precision of +/- 2 grams
- Micro ingredients: Precision of +/- 10 grams
- Medium ingredients: Precision of +/- 30 grams
- Two exclusive systems for medicated products
How do Jesma systems work?
Jesma systems are designed in a carousel format, with a central scale and silos on its periphery. Each silo contains a different ingredient, dosing it as needed using variable pitch screws, ensuring a controlled flow.
Key innovations:
- Cylindrical silos to prevent residue buildup and cross-contamination.
- Scraper bottom in silos for difficult-flow raw materials, such as fishmeal.
- Propeller in dosing screws to ensure precise small doses.
- Self-learning system that automatically adjusts dosages for maximum accuracy.
In addition to the dosing systems, Agrosuper installed JesIntake equipment for dynamic flow control, achieving efficient incorporation and measurement of inputs.
